KPMG , 18 Viaduct Harbour Avenue, Auckland

Let’s go beyond what blockchain is technically – let’s look at how it’s being applied to business here in New Zealand and globally.
This event has already happened!

As new technology cracks open the barriers to business where do you stop with innovation? Blockchain is reimagining trade barriers, dealing with provenance issues, and most importantly it is encouraging greater collaboration. This engaging and interactive session will go beyond the technical observations of what blockchain is - we'll share how blockchain is being applied to business here in New Zealand and globally. Attendees will be sent a Blockchain pack electronically prior to the session to familiarise themselves with the technology so we can maximise our time together.

Panellists:
KPMG Host: Mike Clarke, Partner IT Advisory, KPMG
Mark Pascall  - Director of Blockchainlabs.nz, LoRaIOTLabs.com and 3months.com
Shahid Saiyad - Associate Partner for AI, Blockchain & Innovation Studios, Global Business Services, IBM
Sam Errington - Chief Architect, Vector Group

Session Outline
Part One: You'll see how Blockchain has been applied in different commercial sectors over the world. With a New Zealand case study in the room and global examples, the world will become smaller in this first section.
Part Two: We welcome a panel of blockchain experts, giving them a chance to weigh-in on the technology, and giving you a chance to ask them anything.

This session is ideal for those who want to grasp how Blockchain is being utilised, what these applications are doing to businesses and changing the way we interact with them. Following the session you'll have a chance to continue the conversation into the networking session on site at KPMG if you have indicated your interest in this during the ticket purchase process.
