PD for science teachers - Ara STEM pathways develop the skills needed for survival in the extreme environments in the future.
This event has already happened!

This professional development workshop which aligns with the Techweek theme of Extreme Environments is aimed at secondary school teachers in Science, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.  The following topics will be covered by our Science and Engineering tutors.

Investigate the human health challenges of surviving in extreme environments. Visit our Science Laboratories and learn how to use superfoods to survive.

Investigate how adaptive learning, big data and artificial intelligence are used with virtual reality for effective, efficient education in medical imaging.

Take part in an introduction to Arduino programming sensors and actuators (automations / robotics) and architecture for extreme environments, delivered in our Kahukura School of Engineering and Architectural Studies.
