Do you know your blockchain from your bike chain, or your bitcoin from your bullions?
Join the University of Otago's Dr John Williams, who will de-mystify blockchain and cryptocurrencies by explaining what they actually are, describe some recent events pertaining to these technologies, as an illustration of what uses they have been put to, and what might happen in the future.
John Williams has been a keen follower and an investor into crypto currencies for a number of years.
His research and scholarly interests include research methods and philosophy of science; consumer behaviour; tourism; business ethics and social marketing; and information technology and its impact on business and society. He developed and teaches the undergraduate Digital Marketing course at the Otago Business School.
