Members of the local ITP Branch will review the value of ITP's practising certifications, the differences between the 2 certifications available and information on how to become accredited.

Both Chartered IT Professional NZ (CITP) and Certified Technologist (CTech) accreditations help show that your staff are independently credentialed by IT Professionals NZ, the professional body for the IT industry. These certifications are recognised in New Zealand and abroad and empower IT Professionals by providing independent evidence of competence in software and IT.

Differing from a degree or diploma that showed an individual possessed knowledge at a particular point in time, ITP accreditations are practising qualifications and show that as professionals, those pursuing or holding them have committed to ongoing professional development and staying current. Being competency-based, they also show candidates can do rather than just talk.

Through the CTech and CITP accreditations, employers can develop an internal sense of professional progress and achievement amongst staff, while also promoting the independently credentialed calibre of its IT professionals.
