Speakers

Cheryl is a leadership futurist who sees exponential technologies as an opportunity to amplify our human characteristics. She challenges organisations to think differently in order to adapt to a rapidly changing and complex world.

In 2017 Cheryl was a finalist in the Westpac Women of Influence Awards, in the Innovation and Science category. She sees this recognition as an opportunity to continue influencing young women to grow as leaders and entrepreneurs.

Cheryl is currently a Board Chair of the NZ Brain Research Institute, Establishment Board Chair of Haeata Community Campus and serves as a trustee for Limitless and Food for Thought Trusts. Cheryl is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors, Association of Professional Futurists and the World Future Society.
Martin McMullan is the NZ Transport Agency’s Director of the Connected Journeys group working create an environment that embraces the Transport Revolution though its digitalisation. Responsible for Transport related technology and systems including ITS, Mobility as a Service, automated platforms, software based optimisation and our Innovation communities through NZTA’s Innovation Zone located in Auckland.
Matt Ensor is Business Director for Advisory Services at Beca. Matt is a recognised leader in the application of Smart City technologies to planning, infrastructure and asset operations and leads Beca's new services in Artificial Intelligence ChatBot technologies. Matt’s qualifications are in Engineering, Sociology & Management, and in 2012 he attended INSEAD Business School in France on a Prime Minister’s Business Scholarship.
During his 22 years at Beca, Thomas’ satisfaction has come from solving complex problems for clients and the business, and making things better as a result. This consulting activity has given him exposure to client organisations around the world, gaining an appreciation of retail, pharmatech, utilities, infrastructure, defence, food and beverage, pulp and paper, mining and metals, airports, and manufacturing, amongst others, both in the public and private sectors. Through this he has developed expertise in an eclectic mix of technical and business subjects, and with his executive roles, including a recent appointment to executive director, is enjoying applying this knowledge to shaping the future of the business.
