This event has already happened!

Come along and cheer for the secondary school teams at the Christchurch Challenge VEX Robotics competition finals. You will see the students use their robotics skills in areas such as building, programming and driving. This game is designed to make drivers work together in teams of two, navigating the field, picking up coloured tennis balls and scoring them in any of the designated goals.

Alongside the Christchurch Challenge, another competition will be run for VEX IQ robots. This tournament is mainly aimed towards early secondary school students, with the potential to include intermediate and primary schools. Robots are made from lego-like interlocking parts, and are again designed to drive and lift tennis balls.  This tournament is run as more of a collaborative game.

At 3pm the official new 2018/19 VEX and VEX IQ robotics game will be revealed at the conclusion of the competitions.

Please be aware that this is a spectator event only.
