Learn about startups and Taranaki IdeaSUMMIT 2018, the new competition for innovative new business ideas.
This event has already happened!

Attend this free lunch event to hear from a range of experts about creating a new business in Taranaki with Venture Taranaki and MYOB.  Discover what it takes to create a strong startup culture and be there to see the launch of a new startup competition – IdeaSUMMIT – a startup business competition that turns innovative new business ideas into potential high-growth new companies in a ten week programme.

MYOB will discuss their State of Aotearoa’s Startups report, identifying ways in which we can strengthen our start-up ecosystem.  It's well-known NZ is one of the best places to start a business, but can more be done to foster a society of home-grown entrepreneurs?  The report provides insights from industry leaders, incubators and investors, as well as data from international surveys. Together, it suggests New Zealand has many of the essentials for start-ups to thrive.

A local startup will share their experience, followed by a Q&A and panel discussion to answer your questions about turning your idea into commercial reality.

A light lunch is provided.
